History

	In 1893 Franz König, born in Vienna, visited Merano and decided to work on his own in this emerging city. Becoming a confectioner in the well known Viennese confectioner’s Gerstner and Demel, he brought the traditional Viennese coffee shop to Merano. For now four generations the family König is been producing high quality confectionery using the best ingredients for the old recipes.
